Future Plans: Keeping an open mind! I am also interested in sustainable global surgery and clinical skills education.

Why UMASS?: Clinically strong program at a Level 1 Trauma Center with comprehensive surgical training and positive, supportive culture. I was impressed by the robotic curriculum and wide breadth of educational opportunities, and on interview day I felt that the faculty members were genuinely invested in helping their residents succeed. Worcester is also a gem and I wanted to be close to my friends/support system in residency.

Favorite thing to do in Worcester: Fall activities and apple cider at Tougas Family Farm! I’m excited to check out coffee shops, explore the great outdoors, and spend time with friends (in and out of the hospital).
