Future Plans: I plan to pursue a career in thoracic surgery with a focus on lung cancer and minimally invasive surgical techniques.  My academic interests include surgical outcomes research, health services research, and quality improvement, with a particular emphasis on perioperative optimization, hospital-level factors influencing outcomes, and frailty in lung cancer surgery. In addition, I am currently pursuing a Master of Public Health at UMass Amherst. 

Why UMASS?: Diverse, broad scope of surgical subspecialties, level 1/tertiary care center in the area, supportive academic staff, peers, and culture, a well-established support system for residents, nice young vibe area, and places to visit around. 

Favorite things to do in Worcester:  Try new places, experiences, and restaurants with fellow residents. I love the multiple places that have bubble tea around. I enjoy that whatever I need is at a close distance from me.
