Using Social Media to Improve Knowledge Translation in Your Employment Research and Practice (2 sessions)

Date Posted: Wednesday, November 03, 2021This participatory course is the first offering in the Knowledge Dissemination Track of the KT Academy and will help participants to utilize social media to disseminate information more effectively and enhance education and stakeholder engagement for NIDILRR grantees working to improve employment outcomes for individuals with disabilities.
Among the disability community, digital-communication technology, such as social media has been shown to foster life-long learning, to aid in employment, and to be a tool for self- determination and participation. This course will help you and your organization leverage the unique benefits of social media to share your employment research work among your stakeholders and improve engagement.
The course consisted of two 90-minute sessions with a month between the first and second, to give participants a chance to implement what is learned during the first class. The follow up session will give participants an opportunity to share their updated social media efforts and receive feedback from the guest experts and other participants.
