Letter from the Chair

Welcome to Spring! After a long winter the snow banks in Worcester have finally disappeared. Our current issue of RadNews highlights connections with our past (Resident Alumni Survey), the 'Tee Shirt" Quilt at Memorial Hospital, and UMass's role in the development of a "stent retriever" device for removal of cerebral blood clots causing acute stroke - which was recently proven to be the preferred method for treatment of acute ischemic stroke; the current worldwide educational activities of Dr. Hussain; and our planning for the future with our evaluation of potential new PACS systems.
