In the Spotlight: Cindy Wilson
Senior Executive Administrative Assistant
Date Posted: Tuesday, June 02, 2015Cindy worked for Central Massachusetts Magnetic Imaging Center for seven years prior to taking on the position as Dr. Max Rosen’s assistant last June. She states “It was a smooth transition since I already knew many of the doctors and support staff. It was definitely the right move for me. I am very happy here.”
Cindy took over where Brenda left off. Her duties as Senior Executive Administrative Assistant always keep her on the go. She loves the fast pace and challenge of the Chair’s office and looks forward to adding to her skills by working on many different projects in the future.
She mentions her favorite part of the job is her incredible co-workers. “Everyone here is very supportive and we work together as a team. I enjoy coming to work every day and that is very important to me.”
When not at work, Cindy enjoys gardening, hiking and spending time with her pets. She is an avid animal lover and has devoted many years studying animal behavior. Since 2005, she has been involved with the Samburu tribe in Kenya helping to raise awareness of the diminishing lion populations. She was on the board of directors and helped establish The Lion Conservation Fund. In 2008, she built a little one room cinderblock house nestled among the primitive huts of her “second family”. She said she feels at peace in the wilderness of Northern Kenya, even though there are a lot of challenges and hardships. “There is a simplicity there that balances out my hectic life here at home.”
