Letter from the Chair

Dear All,

Our August newsletter features the great advancements of our Neurointerventional team with UMass becoming the 1st hospital in the United States to use the atlas stent for stent-assisted coiling of cerebral aneurysm, as well as a recent lifesaving thrombectomy case. June 30th marked the beginning of our affiliation with CareWell Urgent Care and our further expansion into the community and the UMass system. Expansions are also continuing within the Department as Andrew Bennett, MD joined our Emergency Radiology team and Ashley Zink began as Administrative Support to the Division Chiefs. We are also excited for the innovative research and partnerships taking place with institutions like WPI with the ARMO project being executed by Drs. Michael King and Clifford Lindsay.
