2024 Dr. Balikian "Go the Extra Mile Award"
The 2024 Annual Jerry Balikian "Go The Extra Mile" Award was presented to Patrick Svrcek, MD - Selected by his resident peers for always going the extra mile (taking extra call shifts, reading extra studies, etc.). His outstanding communication skills, good citizenship toward his fellow residents, and compassionate patient care have been evident throughout his residency.
The award is presented to one resident per year who continually goes the "extra mile" in their job. Attending physicians and residents vote for the person who best deserves this honor and the Education Committee makes the final decision. The Award is a plaque and $1000.
