Tina Shiang Accepted to ITAR Program
Radiology Resident Tina Shiang, MD was selected for the RSNA Introduction to Academic Radiology (ITAR) Program that took place in Chicago during the RSNA Annual Meeting. Dr. Shiang said of the experience, "It was my first time at RSNA and I am so grateful for the opportunity to attend the conference and ITAR. I met some of the brightest minds in the field and future colleagues from around the world. We learned about different avenues in academic radiology and how to design a career path that met our goals. It was an invaluable and inspirational experience."
The ITAR program is co-sponsored by RSNA, the Association of University Radiologists (AUR) and the American Roentgen Ray Society (ARRS), this in-person course shares the importance of research in diagnostic radiology and the excitement of academic careers in radiology. Participants will meet successful clinical radiology researchers, future colleagues and potential mentors. ITAR meeting program (PDF).

Dr. Shiang also presented two posters at the RSNA meeting titled "Improving Radiologist Protocoling Efficiency: An Initiative to Improve Resident Productivity and Speed of Patient Diagnosis" and "Beyond Muscles and Bones: Significant Vascular Findings on Routine Musculoskeletal Imaging."
