Surviving a Quiet Killer
Ajit Puri, MD, Division Chief of Interventional Neuroradiology was featured in an article titled Surviving a quiet killer, on February 6, 2019 in the Telegram & Gazette. The article discusses how Dr. Puri and the multi-disciplinary neurointerventional team successfully treated and repaired Kathleen Menard's ruptured brain aneurysm. Also discussed is the importance of early treatment and continued follow-up. Kathleen retired as a nurse from UMass Memorial. She's quoted in the article "I am extremely grateful that they (Dr. Puri and his team) were able to repair this with the outcome that they had. I am lucky to be alive. I am very fortunate to be here."
