Thanks for Excellent Team Work
|
Today late in the day, there was a patient that had been admitted with some outside films ; a CT Chest.
Dr. Dill called me because the initial diagnosis picked up by Dr. Evan Ruppell was a rather severe PE. We needed to get a read quickly for the hospital staff. An order needed to be placed, images moved, the study completed and a reading task generated quickly so we could assist this patient with a diagnosis on which the staff could act.
Victor placed the order, completed it, quickly moved the images into the PACS, Linda Egan was key in moving the images to the Order, and the Reading task was created, and Dr. Ruppell and Dr. Dill began reading it; all within a matter of minutes.
We all get focused on what is wrong with the IT systems and how they could run better. They can and should be great,.. it is my teams daily goal.
I just wanted to note for the Administration, that this was a time when Clinical and IT worked together in an expeditious way to assist a very sick individual.
Thanks everyone for excellent work!
