New Administrative Staff

Please welcome two new members of our Radiology Administrative team who joined the department in September.
 
Sharon DiPadua is the new Senior Administrative Secretary to the Division Chiefs and Vice Chairs. She will also support Cindy Wilson and Randa Mowlood. Sharon Shay is the new Administrative Radiology Specialist. She will coordinate new hire on-boarding and will be responsible for the call schedules, physician scheduling for some of the divisions, reimbursement of practice allowance expenses, and scheduling of BLS/ACLS/PALS.

Sharon DiPadua

Sharon is originally from Dover, NH. She worked for the Worcester Public Schools for 20 years as a Data Entry Specialist, School Secretary, and her last position held was a Computer Trainer. Sharon started working at UMass Chan Medical School 10 years ago, she has been Administrative Coordinator-Business Development, Administrative Manager – EIT Department, Administrative Manager – HR, Contracts and Compliance and Data Management and finally, Administrative Coordinator II – Data Management Services. Sharon states "from my previous experience, I have always been happy working for UMass and its affiliates. It is an impressive organization that strives to ensure that customer and patient care is a priority.
 
In her free time she loves to go on long rides with her husband Peter who has a Harley. They have a campsite at Lake Manchaug in Douglas, love Zumba classes and dancing. Sharon and Peter have been married for 42 years and are very involved with their family, they have 3 sons and 9 grandchildren. Sharon says "our grandchildren play, baseball, softball, field hockey and ice hockey and we spend most of our weekends at a game somewhere! I am very happy to be a part of the Radiology Team!"

Sharon has been working at UMASS Memorial Medical Center since 2010 starting with CMMIC (MRI), where she scheduled inpatient, outpatient and Pediatric MRIs under anesthesia. When Shields bought the MRI in 2014 she went to work in the Pulmonary Department as Senior Medical Administrative Secretary for 6 MDs, maintained service schedule (6ICU, &ICU, MICU, etc) and completed billing for the entire Pulmonary Department along with various other duties.
 
In her free time Sharon loves taking long rides with her husband Gary, on their motorcycle.  She recently began making crafts with her husband and daughters. She also enjoys spending time with their daughters and grandchildren. Sharon and Gary have been married for 31 years, they have two daughters and their husbands and two beautiful granddaughters and an amazing step grandson. Sharon says "in my spare time, I read, do puzzles and of course shop."
