In the Spotlight - Ruth Lopriore
Date Posted: Monday, September 26, 2016Ruth Lopriore has become the new Program Coordinator in the Anatomical Gift Program. She is very happy with her new role, she finds it both challenging and rewarding and feels that it is a good fit for her current career path. Ruth as been at UMass for 10 years, she was originally hired in the Information Technology Department as a Multimedia Specialist. She has a degree in Graphic Design from Quinsigamond Community College and another in Multimedia from The New England Institute of Art. In 2013 she decided to go back to school for a Communications Degree at Clark University, as her interests and career goals changed.
Ruth grew up in Grafton, MA with her parents and 4 siblings - she has two older brothers and two younger sisters. Currently she lives in Worcester with her husband Thom and their two cats, Prudence and Sadie. Ruth and her husband enjoy traveling, their most recent and remarkable trip being Peru. While in Peru they spent time in Lima, Cusco, Urubamba Sacred Valley, and Puno. They were very excited to visit Machu Picchu and the Uros Floating Islands while in Peru.
Ruth enjoys photography, working out (boot camp and strength training classes), yoga (when her schedule permits), reading, and spending time with family and friends.
