Cardiothoracic Radiology
Welcome to the section of Cardiothoracic Imaging (CTI) at UMass Memorial Medical Center and UMass Chan Medical School. Our section specializes in the imaging of the lungs and the heart. Our activities cover all imaging aspects of thoracic and cardiovascular physiology and pathology, as well as the interactions between the lungs and the heart. Our staff works in close collaboration with our colleagues in respiratory medicine, internal medicine, cardiology, thoracic and cardiac surgery, oncology, nuclear medicine, radiation therapy, and pathology. We provide subspecialty interpretations and consultative services to our referring physicians 7 days a week.
Our section is composed of six highly dedicated attending radiologists, all of whom are UMass Chan Medical School faculty, subspecialized in the delivery of CTI services. Members of our faculty hold important roles in national and international educational and scientific societies and have a substantial visibility in the field of CTI. Our section is also staffed by a full-time clinical fellow who helps supporting the mission of our section: 1) to deliver excellent, courteous, and compassionate patient care: 2) to provide outstanding education to medical students, residents, and fellows; 3) to advance the field of CTI through high-end clinical and translational research.
