Resident As Teacher of the Year
The Resident Teacher of the Year Award, established in 2020, recognizes teaching contributions and excellence by a resident of the Department of Radiology. Each academic year, this award is selected from nominations and narrative comments provided by medical students rotating on clinical electives in Radiology with input from supervising faculty and final approval from the Educational Committee. Award recipients must be in good academic standing to receive this award.
The following are selection considerations for award recipients who have best demonstrated interest in and commitment to medical student education in Radiology over the past academic year:

- Resident demonstrated skills and interests in teaching medical students.
- Resident provided quality contributions to student evaluations for medical students.
The Education Committee will recognize the resident (or residents) who display(s) excellence in teaching medical students in the clinical setting with this award. The award will have a Plaque and cash value of $500. This award will be presented annually at department graduation by the Director of Radiology Undergraduate Medical Education or designee. A stipend may be provided as part of this award as approved by the committee.
