Fellowship Program Highlights
- The UMass PEM program is open to graduates of both pediatric and emergency medicine residency programs
- Curriculum length:
- Pediatric trained fellows- 3 years
- Emergency medicine trained fellows- 2 years
- Weekly fellow’s educational conference including a variety of formats including didactic lectures, simulation experiences, and hands-on workshops
- We are the only program in the region to offer fellows the opportunity to obtain a Masters in Clinical Investigation through the University of Massachusetts
- As a children’s hospital within a hospital, the PEM division collaborates closely with our colleagues in both the Departments of Pediatrics and Emergency Medicine. Our fellows have the advantage of working with and being mentored by leaders in research, QI, and administration within both Departments, as well as the Divisions of Global Health, Health Advocacy, Toxicology, Ultrasound, and EMS.
