PDM founded by David McManus, MD, ScM, at the start of his tenure as Chair of Medicine at UMass Chan
Home-based and remote monitoring programs launched during the COVID-19 pandemic, setting the foundation for tech-enabled care at home
2021
Acute Care at Home program designed and implemented with support of PDM leadership (McManus and Soni)
PDM fellowship launched with clinical service in Hospital at Home and Research Participation in RADx Clinical Studies, electronic Framingham Heart Study, and RURAL cohort study
2022
PDM Morningside partnership launched
2023
First care transformation grant awarded to PDM ($6.5 million grant for SNF at Home RCT)
2024
NIH T32 Digital Health training program grant awarded by NHLBI

Proof-of-concept studies became standard of care. A shared data infrastructure spanning millions of patient records was built, training a generation of clinician-innovators
