UMass Chan Medical School has been named to the top 50 of the Forbes’ list of America’s Best Employers by State 2022. The analysis was released on Wednesday, Aug. 24, by Forbes and Statista Inc., the statistics portal and industry ranking provider. UMass Chan is listed as No. 43 in Massachusetts.
Employers were identified in an independent survey based on a sample of approximately 70,000 Americans working for companies with more than 500 employees in the United States. Across 25 industry sectors, 1,380 employer brands were ranked.
The evaluation was based on direct and indirect recommendations from employees who were asked to rate their willingness to recommend their own employers to friends and family. Employees were also asked to evaluate other employers in their respective industry and state that stood out either positively or negatively.
UMass Chan is perennially ranked by U.S. News & World Report as one of the best medical schools in the nation for primary care education and attracts more than $300 million in biomedical research funding annually.
