As part of UMass Medical School’s ongoing initiative to share news about the research, academic and service achievements that take place every day on our campuses, a new issue of @umassmed magazine debuts this week. Feature stories include an in depth look at the role UMass Medical School plays in the City of Worcester and the remarkable partnerships that benefit both, and the story of how serendipity and science led to new hope for a treatment for Tay-Sachs disease. This issue also explores how the Graduate School of Nursing is adapting its teaching approach to meet the needs of advanced practice nurses.
