What are your clinical and research interests?
As a primary care physician, I am interested in preventative health care and management of chronic medical conditions. After residency, I will be pursuing a fellowship in HIV medicine, latent tuberculosis, and hepatitis C. Additionally, I have been interested in learning about artificial intelligence and its incorporation within medicine. I would also like to focus on efforts to facilitate communication between physicians and patients.
Are you involved in any other groups or activities at UMass Chan that you’d like to highlight?
I am one of the co-chairs for the Diversity Action Council (DAC). As a part of DAC, we evaluate ways to promote DEI efforts at UMass Chan and conduct education programs to highlight the importance of diversity in the evolving world of medicine.
Additionally, I am part of the Medical Education track in the Internal Medicine Residency. The Medical Education track revolves around learning how to be an effective clinical educator and getting experience with designing clinical curriculum.
What makes UMass Chan a great place for your residency?
I find there is great camaraderie in the residency, as well as a diverse patient population and clinical presentations. Additionally, there are opportunities to pursue multiple different fields of interest with support available from attendings, co-residents, and administration staff.
