Mireya Wessolossky Named Physician of the Year by Worcester Business Journal 

Mireya Wessolossky, MD, professor of medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases and Immunology, has been named a Physician of the Year as part of Worcester Business Journal’s 2024 Champions of Health Care.  

Dr. Wessolossky, an infectious disease specialist, holds a number of leadership roles including co-medical director of UMass Memorial Health’s HIV clinic and medical director of UMMH’s clinic at AIDS Project Worcester. She provides direct care and fiercely advocates for accessible health care for all patients, regardless of their life circumstances. Dr. Wessolossky is also committed to education and preventive care, having worked with the Massachusetts Department of Public Health on vaccination initiatives for marginalized populations.
