Craig Smith Named Associate Vice Chief of Cardiology for Inpatient Care
Craig Smith, MD, assistant professor of medicine in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine will be starting a new role as associate vice chief of cardiology for inpatient care, in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine effective August 1, 2024.
In this role, Dr. Smith will oversee the division's inpatient clinical and procedural operations and be responsible for leading the division's efforts to improve care quality, population health, and physician engagement and promote continued financial success for the division.
Dr. Smith will report to Vaikom S. Mahadevan, MD, chief of Cardiovascular Medicine in his new role.
