Collaboratives

A Collaborative is a group of individuals with an interest in a focused area in Health Sciences or Biomedical Education that represents a:

  1. New area
  2. A key target area for our school
  3. An idea that can be applied in more than one school at UMass Chan Medical School

Collaboratives will be created by current and prospective HEALL members. Participation in a Collaborative qualifies you for HEALL membership. The membership application form will need to be completed as part of the process.

The proposal form for Collaboratives is due by the end of the day, December 16, 2024.

In proposing a Collaborative, it is expected that

  • The Collaborative members will have met and developed their proposal together
  • The group can reach out to HEALL leaders (david.hatem@umassmemorial.org) or any members of the HEALL Steering Committee* with any questions or assistance/suggestions for interprofessional partners

Attend the Information Session

The group can attend an information session to address questions about the process of application and implementation, scheduled for Tuesday, November 26, at 5:00 PM via ZOOM.

Benefits to joining a collaborative

In being part of a Collaborative, you will be:

  1. Joining an Educational community with a common purpose
  2. Promoting collaborative solutions to common problems important to our school

Once the Collaborative’s idea is implemented there may be room for its continuation and the possible development of educational scholarship. We anticipate yearly collaborative proposal cycles, yet in our first year we may have a second call as we begin.
