Mission

The University of Massachusetts (UMass) Health Policy Research Laboratory, hosted by the Department of Quantitative Health Sciences at the UMass Chan Medical School, utilizes high-volume and high-variety healthcare big data and generates innovative health policy and health services research that helps reshape and improve policy and service deliveries. Primary mission of the research laboratory is to (1) expand inter- and intra-campus multidisciplinary collaboration to leverage complementary expertise, (2) provide data access and reuse opportunities to a wide variety of UMass researchers, including faculty, postdoctoral fellows, and graduate students, and (3) assist the researchers from five UMass campuses in obtaining external funding.
