Webinar: “Delivering Tobacco Use Disorder Treatment Through a Health Equity Lens”

Presenter: Kristina Fenn Silver, MAThis training will discuss health equity and ways that factors such as employment status, income, race, educational level, and tobacco industry marketing are associated with smoking rates and access to evidence-based treatment. Underserved populations with high rates of tobacco use will be discussed, such as persons with behavioral health concerns, substance use disorder, and LGBTQ+ status. Disparities that exist in screening for tobacco use disorder and providing evidence-based treatment for it will be reviewed, as well as ways to improve in these areas.
