Tobacco Treatment Specialist Core Competencies

In 1998, CTTRT and Massachusetts Department of Public Health conducted a role delineation and validation study. The study resulted in the development of 'the core competencies for Tobacco Treatment Specialists'. These competencies were further refined by CTTRT and the Association for the Treatment of Tobacco Use and Dependence (ATTUD). This collaboration resulted in development and dissemination of Standards of Practice for Tobacco Treatment Specialists.  Association for the Treatment of Tobacco Use and Dependence (ATTUD)
