Biography

Hometown: Houston, Texas

Undergrad Institution: Boston University (Boston, MA)

Medical School: Baylor College of Medicine (Houston, TX)

Other degrees/information: Obtained a Certificate in Applied Biostatistics in Public Health from the University of Texas School of Public Health

Future plans: Caring for critically ill patients in an academic environment where I can be involved in education and research is an important priority for me. I love learning from every specialty rotation, and I’m still considering which specialty is the best fit for me. I do have a passion and long-standing interest in congenital heart surgery that I’m continuing to explore during my research time.

Why UMASS? I love UMass because of the awesome team of residents who support one another personally and professionally, the faculty who are personally invested in our success, and the opportunities to serve patients in different settings across multiple subspecialties.

Favorite thing to do in Worcester? Paddle boarding on the many local lakes and ponds or shopping the quirky finds at Crompton Collective

Recent abstracts, posters, or publications: Completed two years (2022-2024) of research in clinical outcomes in patients with congenital heart diseases at Texas Children’s Hospital through Baylor college of Medicine (Houston, TX). Worked closely with the congenital heart surgery as well as pediatric cardiology teams.
