Medical School: State University of New York Upstate Medical University, Syracuse, NY

Future plans: Having grown up in a rural community, I hope to eventually move to a small town and practice general surgery. 

Why UMASS?: Umass is located in a perfect place in the Northeast with access to both city life and nature adventures. I felt that Umass provided ample opportunities for many career paths within general surgery. This program allows for competitive placement in fellowships, research opportunities, higher educational goals , as well as preparing you to enter practice following residency training. 

Favorite thing to do in Worcester?: I enjoy meeting up with friends at restaurants and breweries
