To re-instate the student group, follow the directions and policies for creating a SBC Student Organization and submit an application in the spring semester.
Bioethics

Upon completion, students should be able to: (1) identify the underlying principles related to medical ethics and (2) understand how common philosophical arguments are made to support these principles
Computational Biology and Bioinformatics Interest Group (CBBIG)

Description: Computational Biology and Bioinformatics are complementary disciplines focused on elucidating the underlying biology of healthy and diseased states through the analysis of massive amounts of genomic data.
Health Economics Interest Group

Rowing Club

Description: The UMass Med Rowing club aims to bring the student body together through team based exercise. The club is designed to accommodate new and experienced rowers. Our mission is to promote fun, well-being, and inter-class bonding. Individuals will be taught rowing techniques to become efficient rowers.

Students for a National Health Program (SNaHP)

Description: SNaHP advocates for universal, comprehensive single-payer insurance, in keeping with the belief that access to high-quality health care is a right of all people and should be provided equitably without the barriers to care that our current system creates. SNaHP is a branch of Physicians for a National Healthcare Program (PNHP), a national organization with 18,000 physician members that shares our goals. Our objectives are to foster discussion about the healthcare system, and encourage critical conversation on the ways in which it can change.

Description: WooCycle is a student group focused on reducing the impact UMass Chan has on the environment. Through initiatives like recycling awareness, reducing the use of disposable plates and utensils and working with the school’s administration to reduce waste, we hope to make UMass a more sustainable institution.
