Elective Description: Our 4-week rotation in radiology is designed to expose the student to the great breadth and depth of radiology. In addition to a basic understanding of image interpretation, one of the goals of the rotation is to gain a working understanding of the appropriate imaging study choice for patients. Responsibilities include attendance at daily readouts and ten weekly educational departmental conferences. The student will engage in a reading curriculum based on the provided introductory radiology text Learning Radiology: Recognizing the Basics, 2nd Edition, and its companion website, LearningRadiology.com.
