Elective Description: Students choosing this elective will work in a 49 bed level 1 ICU as part of a multi-disciplinary team of teaching faculty, fellows, Nurse Practitioners, residents, nutritionists, social workers and pharmacists. There are weekly lectures and daily teaching rounds. Students will gain skills in neonatal examination, resuscitation and have opportunity to practice procedures. Additional opportunities exist to work with lactation consultants and NICU follow up clinics based on individual interest. | |
