Elective Description: Experience the clinical diversity of a rural family medicine teaching practice. Barre Family Health Center is the only health care facility in a 16 mile radius providing comprehensive family medicine care with over 42,000 visits per year. We provide full spectrum care form prenatal to end of life care in our NCQA recognized Patient Centered Medical Home. This includes routine wellness care as well as chronic disease management with extensive opportunities in minor trauma, minor surgery, medical assisted addiction treatment, prenatal care and integrated behavioral health. Work alongside family medicine residents, experienced family physicians, advanced practitioners and behavioral health providers. In addition to residents in family medicine, the health center also hosts Graduate NP students, PA and Pharmacy students, a behavioral health fellow and psychology graduate student offering an enriched academic learning environment.
