Communications Program
The Communications Program at iSPARC uses state-of-the-art information dissemination strategies to speed the translation of research findings on best psychosocial practices and policies into actual adoption and use. The team uses knowledge translation strategies and a variety of dissemination modalities to ensure that the key messages get to the right audiences in the most effective way. Thus:
Written Products. iSPARC has developed over 180 written products that provide current education and information to inform and empower the community of mental health stakeholders in Massachusetts and beyond. These include tip sheets that describe actionable findings on a variety of pertinent topics and research or policy briefs that provide summaries of completed research or new policy initiatives. There have been over 299,000 downloads of iSPARC’s written products that are available on our website and stored through the e-journal, Psychiatry Information in Brief.
iSPARC's newsletter was launched in 2016 and features the latest research, newsworthy items, new products, and upcoming events. It is emailed to nearly 3,000 subscribers on a monthly basis. iSPARC also maintains an active presence across multiple social media platforms, sharing relevant mental health research and resources with over 5000 followers across its centers and platforms. iSPARC has developed over 200 videos on cutting-edge mental health topics with over 60K lifetime views.
Webinars. Our live interactive webinar series increases the reach of our knowledge translation within MA and nationally. In the past five years, we have produced 30 webinars with over 3,000 participants.
