Emiliano Ricci obtained his PhD at Ecole Normale Supérieure de Lyon in 2010 studying the mechanism of action of microRNAs in regulating mRNA translation. He then joined the laboratory of Melissa J. Moore at the UMass Chan Medical School (Worcester, USA) where he studied the regulation of gene expression by double-stranded RNA binding proteins. In 2015, he joined the International Centre for Research in Infectious Diseases as an assistant professor and since January 2018 he is part of the Laboratory of Biology and Cellular Modelling (LBMC).
