Airway Curriculum
We prepare our fellows with the skills to thrive in their careers and we have an established airway curriculum as part of their training. Our fellows become extremely familiar with airway management through simulation training with experts in the iCELS Center as well as ample hands-on experience working with qualified attendings in the medical ICU and in the operating room. Direct laryngoscopy, video laryngoscopy, and bronchoscopy assisted intubation are all techniques that our future pulmonologists learn. Tracheostomy insertion and management is also an integral part of their education and they will be able to troubleshoot common issues and complications by the completion of training. Fellows can further build on their experience with elective rotations with anesthesiology and thoracic surgery.
