Program Highlights

The fellowship is an ACGME certified three year program that prepares our fellows to sit for the ABIM Board examinations in both pulmonary and critical care medicine. The first year of the fellowship emphasizes clinical chest medicine and medical intensive care.  The second year is heavily weighted to allow our fellows to participate in advanced interventional pulmonary procedures and in research projects under the guidance of one of the faculty mentors. The third year is dedicated to additional Critical Care Medicine experience needed to satisfy eligibility for the Critical Care board examination.  Case-based and didactic conferences are a regular feature of the curriculum throughout the three years of training.
