UMass Department of Psychiatry – helping individuals and families transform their lives – conducts world-class research on the nature and causes of a range of mental illnesses from substance abuse and addiction, to schizophrenia and autism spectrum disorders, among other subject areas.
With more than 400 faculty members, the department is a national leader in public-sector psychiatry; a rich source of expertise and research about:
