- 2nd Annual Psychology Day
2nd Annual Psychology Day
On November 5, 2009, the Psychology Network at UMass held “Psychology Day,” attended by about 60 UMass psychologists. The morning focused on an historical perspective on psychology training at Worcester State Hospital. Dr. Robin Cautin offered an early history of psychology at WSH and the contributions of David Shakow. The family of Dr. Shakow, and Dr. William Vogel, received awards recognizing their contributions to psychology training. The afternoon focused on the future, with comments from UMass Chan/UMMMC leaders on the role of psychology in the institution’s strategic plans, followed by group discussions designed to generate directions for development of our psychological research and services. It was a great day...see the video for highlights!
