Addressing Personal Wellness Is Important
Good health means maintaining a healthy weight, eating nutritious foods, exercising, balancing home and work commitments, not using tobacco/nicotine and seeing your doctor for preventive screenings.
Taking these steps will help to:
• Increase your energy
• Boost your immune system
• Help improve your mood
• Build/tone muscles
• Prevent disease
Taking control of your health gives you the best chance of living a long, rewarding life!
And clinicians, your personal wellness also benefits your patients/clients. People that engage in healthy behaviors are more likely to encourage/counsel others to do the same. Patients/clients are also more likely to follow the advice if given by someone that engages in the healthy behavior.
