Why UMass: One of the many reasons why I chose UMass was because of the unique child psychiatry track. This track offers special faculty mentorship in child psychiatry, allows residents to rotate in pediatric subspecialties (peds neuro, genetics, adolescent medicine, etc), and guarantees a fellowship position in child and adolescent psychiatry.
Why Worcester: I appreciate that Worcester is conveniently located close to Boston, but far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the city. As someone that appreciates nature, I enjoy going to the local botanical garden and hiking in the beautiful State and National Parks of New England.

Why UMass: I loved my experience training at UMass as a medical student and knew the CAP program had a supportive learning environment with many dedicated and passionate faculty. I am overjoyed to be able to return to train and work with so many amazing staff members.
Why Worcester: Central Massachusetts offers a breadth of experiences in urban, suburban, and rural settings with diverse populations (an added bonus being significantly less traffic than Boston).
