Dissemination and Implementation Science Collaborative (DISC)
About the Group
Dissemination and Implementation Science (D&I) research is the scientific study of methods and strategies to promote the adoption and integration of proven treatments, programs, and policies into practice in real-world settings and populations. Our group’s mission is to better translate new public health and healthcare knowledge and research among practitioners, healthcare providers, patients, and the general public. We seek to do this both within and outside the UMass Chan community by increasing D+I awareness, facilitating collaborations, and providing educational and training opportunities. Our DISC has monthly working group meetings, sponsors guest speaker events, and provides peer feedback on scholarly work.
Monthly Workgoup Meetings
The group meets on the 4th Tuesday of every month to provide opportunities for peer collaboration, feedback on scholarly products, and journal club discussions.
