Dr. Filice is a board-certified pediatrician and physician executive with expertise in quality, health equity, clinical and care delivery innovation, and population health. Experience grounded in clinical practice, federal government experience, and leadership at a state Medicaid program. She is skilled at working with diverse local and national stakeholders to enhance high-value care including for underserved populations. -
Hassan Fouayzi , PhD

Dr. Fouayzi has extensive experience in large data management, advanced statistics, risk adjustment/predictive modeling, and econometrics/health economics. He has collaborated on numerous studies in health care services, health policy, chronic illness, pharmacoepidemiology, and drug safety. He serves as a technical liaison in multi-site research collaborations funded by NCI, AHRQ, CDC, and FDA. As a member of Dr Arlene Ash’s team, Dr. Fouayzi is also working on incorporating social determinants of health into global payments to ensure equity and efficiency in healthcare financing and delivery.

Christie L. Hager , JD, MPH

Christie Hager focuses her teaching and research on health policy and public-private partnerships to benefit publicly-insured populations. She served in the Obama U.S. Dept. of Health and Human Services and as Chief Health Counsel to the Speaker of the Mass. House of Representatives. As interim chief of behavioral health at Massachusetts Medicaid, she led interagency work on COVID-19 behavioral health emergency response and behavioral health delivery system reform. Her first post-graduate position was as Research Assistant at the New England Journal of Medicine. -
Jay Himmelstein , MD, MPH

Dr. Himmelstein’s professional career in research, policy development, and service has been dedicated to improving health care and health outcomes for those served by public sector programs. He has placed special emphasis on Medicaid programs and health services for people with disabilities and is a nationally recognized physician, educator, and health services researcher. His most recent work focuses on improving coordination of care and clinical outcomes, evaluating the impact of transitions from fee-for-service to value-based payments, independent evaluation of State Medicaid programs and policies, and leveraging University partnerships with Medicaid agencies to facilitate health system research and transformation. -

Aimee Kroll-Desrosiers , PhD

Dr. Kroll-Desrosiers has a background in epidemiology, biostatistics, and anthropology. Dr. Kroll-Desrosiers uses mixed-methods to investigate the health of women Veterans, with a focus on mental health and VA healthcare utilization during the perinatal period. Her past research has focused on perinatal depression screening, medication use during pregnancy, and exploring perspectives from VA providers on how to best approach mental health care for Veterans during pregnancy and in the postpartum period. -
