Multidisciplinary Clinics
The UMass Memorial Children’s Medical Center has several specialized clinics to provide outstanding, coordinated multidisciplinary care to some of our most complicated patients. We have highlighted some below, and feel free to peruse others here!
- The Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy Clinic serves one of the largest cadres of patients with this diagnosis in the world. Patients with DMD from across the globe come to UMass for synchronized neurologic, cardiac, pulmonary, renal, gastrointestinal, endocrine, nutrition and physical therapy care.
- The Craniofacial Anomalies Clinic sees 250 new patients a year and coordinates genetics, otolaryngology, plastic surgery, nutrition, and other necessary care to this unique patient population.
- The Down Syndrome Clinic is another example of how we provide outstanding multidisciplinary care to patients. Care is coordinated through this clinic between our patients and over 13 subspecialties to ensure they receive the best coordinated care possible.
- The Cystic Fibrosis Clinic delivers nationally recognized multidisciplinary care and is tied to a productive clinical research center to further our understanding of this devastating disease.
- The Good Fit Teen Weight and Wellness Clinic brings together medical, nutrition, psychological, and surgical teams to help address the physical and emotional effects of obesity.
- Our Adolescent Medicine division leads multiple multidisciplinary clinics, from Youth Gender Services, supporting patients in exploring their gender identity and potential treatment paths, to Disordered Eating.
