Research and Clinical Trials
Our Children’s Medical Center is a member of the Children's Oncology Group (COG) – a National Cancer Institute supported clinical trials group and the world's largest organization devoted exclusively to childhood and adolescent cancer research with more than 220 institutions and 7,500 clinician members worldwide.
As a COG member, UMass Memorial Children’s Medical Center can offer children front-line treatment for many types of childhood cancers including trials involving new and emerging treatments in a convenient, closer-to-home location.
Pediatric Hematology Research
We participate in clinical research programs through the New England Pediatric Sickle Cell Consortium, the Diamond Blackfan Anemia Registry, the Severe Chronic Neutropenia International Registry, and multiple collaborative clinical research and gene therapy programs with Children’s Hospital Boston.
