Otolaryngology Residency Program
The Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery program at UMass Chan medical school is designed to create compassionate and comprehensive otolaryngologists. We are dedicated to training the next generation of surgeon-scientists, educators, and leaders within the field.
Clinical training takes place primarily at the University Campus with additional cases taking place at the Memorial Campus and Hahnemann Surgical Center. Residents also do multiple rotations at Boston Children’s Hospital to get exposed to some of the most complex pediatric otolaryngology patients in the world.
The clinical training program covers all major areas of Otolaryngology, including:
- Ablative Head and Neck Cancer Surgery
- Endocrine Surgery
- Transoral Robotic & Transoral Laser Microsurgery
- Local, Regional, Free Flap Reconstruction
- Pediatric Otolaryngology Including Complex Airway
- Neurotologic Surgery Including Skullbase Surgery, Endoscopic Ear surgery, and in office otologic procedures
- Laryngology
- Sleep Surgery
- Comprehensive Otolaryngology
- Rhinology and endoscopic skull base surgery
