The first FORCE-TJR article was published in the September 26, 2012 issue of the Journal of the American Association (JAMA)! Follow this link to the article.

This Viewpoint article entitled ‘Beyond implant registries: a new patient-centered research consortium for comparative effectiveness in total joint replacement’ discusses the importance of implementing patient-centered data within total joint replacement registries. It also presents the innovative design and implementation of FORCE-TJR, as a national prospective patient cohort to determine which orthopedic techniques, implants, and patient factors are associated with optimal patient-reported outcomes- both pain improvement and functional gain.
