International Support Services
International Support Services (ISS) is a function within the UMass Chan Office of Management tasked with supporting the legal and risk management aspects of outbound international travel and non-US educational, research and humanitarian activities. Key areas of support provided by ISS include:
International Travel & Risk
- Project and destination risk review
- Health, safety and security advice
- Visa and compliance guidance
- Travel insurance and foreign malpractice coverage
- Emergency support while abroad
International Agreements
- Guidance in drafting international contracts
- Support in preparing international partnership agreements (MOUs, Affiliation Agreements)
- Documentation for international educational and service experiences or projects
Project Planning
- Guidance for project planning and administration
- Budgeting for a Foreign Project
- Support in preparing project safety & security plans
