Mock Balsamic Vinegar
Yields: ½ cup
Ingredients:
- ¾ cup red wine vinegar
- 1 cup red wine
- 1 tablespoon honey – local is best
Directions:
- Mix all the ingredients in a sauce pan; bring to a rolling boil for 3 to 5 minutes.
- Reduce the heat to medium and simmer for 20 to 25 minutes.
- Allow the sauce to cool. Store in refrigerator for up to two weeks.
