Asmita Ghosh, PhD
Asmita Ghosh, PhD, senior research scientist in Landers Lab, is primarily a cellular and molecular biologist. She earned her degree from the CSIR-Institute of Genomics and Integrative Biology, New Delhi, India, exploring cellular quality control mechanisms impacting protein stability. Her postdoctoral fellowship was in Dr. Christine Vande Velde's lab at CRCHUM, Montréal, Canada, where she worked on stress granules and cryptic splicing in the context of ALS. She was also involved in brain-banking efforts from ALS patients during her postdoc tenure.
Her research interests include the therapeutic aspects of various neurodegenerative diseases, including ALS.
