Meg Barbosa, administrative assistant for the Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy program
Date Posted: Tuesday, October 22, 2024Meg Barbosa has been an administrative assistant at UMass Chan for the past three and a half years. She supported the Graduate School of Nursing (GSN) before joining the Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) program in 2022. Before UMass, she supported the Framingham Union Hospital (FUH), as an administrative assistant for fifteen years, working in the case management department. Originally from Belem, North of Brazil, she worked as an executive secretary for multinationals from USA, England, France, and Denmark. She received a bachelor’s degree and is a bilingual executive secretary. She is fluent in English, French, Portuguese, and Spanish.
Meg enjoys helping others from behind the scenes, through her excellent customer service and administrative support for the patients, families, and staff members of DMD.
She creates a friendly atmosphere by making people laugh and smile. She has a huge passion for dancing, even without music, and loves to travel.
