Movement Disorders and Digital Medicine Fellowship Program
Date Posted: Monday, April 08, 2024Samantha Willford, MD, completed the UMass Chan Neurology Residency program in 2023 before moving into the Movement Disorders and Digital Medicine fellowship program at UMass Chan. Originally from California, Samantha moved to Massachusetts for education. She received a bachelor's degree in history and biology at Tufts University, and a master’s in Biological Sciences at Cal Poly Pomona. Her medical school degree was completed at Sackler School of Medicine at Tel Aviv University before moving to UMass Chan Medical School for her residency program.
Samantha is interested in movement disorders, particularly Huntington’s disease, and teaching the next generation of doctors. She is currently conducting research regarding diversity and the use of technology among patients. Samantha shares, “The attendings and co-trainees at UMass Chan have been essential to helping me find my interests, providing role models of work-life balance and compassionate care, and helping me find my own path to become the physician I want to be.”
Samantha has accepted a position as a movement disorders attending at Lahey Hospital in Burlington, MA.
